The catalogue for the 2020 Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale can now be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com. Numbering 157 juveniles, the sale takes place on Wednesday 8th July with the two-year-olds breezing at Newmarket's Rowley Mile on Monday 6th July starting at 9am.

 

Graduates of the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale have made a flying start since the resumption of racing headed by James Tate’s sprint star FAR ABOVE, the impressive winner of the Group 3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket. FAR ABOVE is the most recent of a remarkable 49 Group and Listed performers produced by the Guineas Breeze Up Sale since 2015.

 

No less than 33 of the sires with two-year-olds catalogued have already sired Classic or Group 1 winners, including ACCLAMATION, DANDY MAN, DARK ANGEL, EXCEED AND EXCEL, FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND, IFFRAAJ, KODIAC, MASTERCRAFTSMAN, NATHANIEL, NEW APPROACH, NIGHT OF THUNDER, NO NAY NEVER, SEA THE STARS, SHOWCASING, STARSPANGLEDBANNER, TEOFILO and ZOFFANY. The top-class USA-based KITTEN’S JOY, sire of the 2,000 Guineas winner KAMEKO, is also represented in the catalogue alongside promising young sires DIALED IN and NOBLE MISSION.

 

These are joined by a strong contingent of 24 first crop sires including Group 1 winners AWTAAD, BELARDO, CHARMING THOUGHT, HARZAND, NEW BAY, PRIDE OF DUBAI, SHALAA, TERRITORIES, THE GURKHA, THE LAST LION, TWILIGHT SON and VADAMOS, as well as ADAAY, ESTIDHKAAR, MEHMAS and PRINCE OF LIR who have already produced impressive winners.

 

Owners and trainers also have the added incentive of 25 two-year-olds eligible for the Plus 10 Bonus Scheme and a further nine eligible for lucrative French Premiums. Three juveniles are also entered for the inaugural 200,000 euro Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes and one for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.
