Leading Light (Right) Wins the G1 St Leger

The Aidan O'Brien trained LEADING LIGHT won the final British Classic for the year when taking out the Group 1 St Leger at Doncaster. The son of MONTJEU was the well backed favourite and was recording his fifth win in succession from only 6 starts. LEADING LIGHT is out of the Grade 2 winning GONE WEST mare DANCE PARADE and was consigned to Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by 'Flash' Conroy's Glenvale Stud where he was purchased by Demi O'Byrne for 520,000 guineas.

The victory of LEADING LIGHT is another feather in the cap for the ill-fated sire MONTJEU who is represented by 17 yearlings at Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale which takes place from October 8 - 10. Catalogues for Europe's premier yearling sale are out now and available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives and online at www.tattersalls.com.
