Tattersalls October Book 1 Purchase Wise Approach Wins Middle Park Stakes

Full-Sister to be Offered at October Book 1 by Tally-Ho Stud

WISE APPROACH’s victory in the Group 1 Tattersalls Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday provided a timely reminder of the quality on offer at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale when he scored a remarkable last to first victory. The son of MEHMAS was purchased for 1,000,000 guineas at Europe’s premier yearling sale last year by Godolphin from the draft of his breeder Tally-Ho Stud.

WISE APPROACH is out of the FROZEN POWER mare SAGELY who is also the dam of fellow Middle Park Stakes winner PERFECT POWER, who went on to win the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot at three. Tally-Ho Stud will consign the MEHMAS own-sister to WISE APPROACH as lot 393 at this year’s sale.

Other exciting two-year-olds who were purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale include the Group 1 Prix Morny winner VENETIAN SUN, Group 2 Lowther Stakes winner ROYAL FIXATION and impressive Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes winner DISTANT STORM, whilst older horses to score at the highest level this year include Prix du Jockey Club winner CAMILLE PISSARRO and City of York Stakes winner NEVER SO BRAVE.
